Glen Burnie Crash Critically Injures Four
A multi-car crash on Saturday sent four people to the hospital for injuries. Anne Arundel County Police continue to investigate. A 21-year-old man was driving his Mercury Cougar Saturday afternoon when he hit a Toyota Corolla head-on. Police say he was driving recklessly. He drove down Marley Neck Boulevard and crossed over a yellow line ti pass other cars. He then hit a Corolla driven by a 36-year-old man.
The Corolla driver was then hit by the driver of a Nissan Murano and then a Mercedes SUV. The police believe he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, as the driver was ejected from his car. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, and is now in serious, yet stable condition.
Three passengers in the Toyota Corolla were taken to local hospitals, including a 35-year-old, 68-year-old, and 3-year-old. The two adults are in critical conditions. Driers in the other two vehicles involved in the crash were not hospitalized for injuries. Officials are still investigating the crash, but initial reports indicate speeding and driver error on the part of the Mercury driver as factors in the crash.
