BMW Vehicles Recalled for Manufacturing Error

BMW is recalling certain model year 2012 X5 Xdrive 35I sports activity vehicles due to manufacturing error. The vehicle will not engage in transmission’s parking lock even though “P” Position is selected and is displayed. As a result of this fault the vehicle can move after it is parked, if the parking brake is not pulled. BMW will notify its customers and dealers will fix the automatic transmission free of charge. Owners can contact BMW at 1-800-525-7417, according to news reports.
