This has resulted in a payment of $ 425,000 by HP to the US government treasury. This comes in the wake of 22 cases of incidents related to the product, of which two were serious injuries to consumers, which the Consumer Product Safety Commission has asserted that the manufacturer withheld critical information of this defect.
