Dried Yellow Croaker Fish Recalled

February 3rd, 2012

The sale of un-eviscerated fish is prohibited under New York state agriculture food inspection law. Subsequent analysis of the product by state food laboratory personnel confirmed that the “relay” dried croaker was bot properly eviscerated prior to processing. This product can cause a serious and potentially fatal food borne illness of Botulism, of which symptoms include weakness, double vision and weakness. Botulism spores are more likely to be found in the viscera than any other portion of the fish, according to news reports.

As a Washington DC personal injury lawyer, I hope that nobody sustains an illness due to this unsafe product.
