A single-car wreck caused a traffic jam along northbound I-95 near the Fredericksburg exit. The slow-down was the result of a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. The 26-year-old driver was charged with reckless driving, a hit-and-run, and driving without a license after the collision. The wreck happened while he was driving his Chevrolet Flazer and suddenly veered off the roadway then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to spin sideways and crash into the pavement. The vehicle rolled and two passengers were ejected. They are now undergoing treatment for serious injuries. The wreck caused all three northbound I-95 lanes to shut-down after the wreck at 7am, according to news reports.
As a car wreck lawyer, my thoughts are with the safety of those involved in this crash. I hope they heal quickly and fully from their injuries and that nobody else was involved in this wreck. If you or someone dear to you was harmed in a wreck caused by negligence, discuss your claim with an attorney who can evaluate your case and help protect your rights. When you have an attorney on your side, you are more likely to get the results you deserve for your case. An attorney can answer any questions you may have and fight hard to get the results you deserve for your case by guiding you through the legal processes.
