A recall of 50,000 vehicles in Australia was recently announced due to an issue with the electronic brake control modules. Owners are required to bring their vehicles into a nearby dealer in order to get repairs. The defect involves the electronic brake control modules, and several vehicle models are included. “If the defect occurs, the braking performance of the vehicle will be reduced and poses a potential crash hazard”, explained the ACCC (Australia Competition and Consumer Commission), according to news reports.
