It is now illegal to text and drive in Silver City’s city limits. The Silver City Town Council passed an ordinance last Tuesday to make texting while driving illegal. Those now found to be texting in the city limits are subject to citation and fines. The ordinance was passed in response to an awareness campaign that stresses that “No text is worth dying for.”
