Roger received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in 1966 and graduated from The George Washington University School of Law in 1969. He had a diverse legal background, as he began his career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia, prosecuting delinquency and child neglect matters. Subsequently, he joined a general practice firm, eventually becoming a partner. During his career, he had successfully represented thousands of clients in negligence, domestic relations and criminal cases.
In 1985, Roger co-founded the firm of Greenberg & Bederman, dedicated to representing injury victims and their families. Roger concentrated his practice in auto accidents, premises liability and other serious personal injury victims.
Roger had lectured before numerous audiences on ethics, marketing and automobile negligence matters. In addition, he had been interviewed by the media on many occasions. He was formerly co-chair of The Lawyers Marketing Committee for the American Association For Justice (AAJ) and is an “Eagle” in the organization.
Roger was a member of the American Association For Justice, the District of Columbia Metropolitan Trial Lawyers Association, the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, the Maryland Bar Association, the D.C. Bar Association, a founding member of the Masters Marketing Group, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He was also a former arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
Super Lawyers, an independent magazine adhering to a selection process that is objective and independent of any advertising or payments to nominate its candidate, has named Roger Greenberg a Super Lawyer in its Maryland and Washington DC 2010, 2011, 2012 edition. Lawyers were asked to nominate the best lawyers they’ve personally observed, were not allowed to nominate an internal lawyer without nominating an external lawyer, and lawyers were not allowed to vote for themselves. This evaluation led to a final selection of Roger E. Greenberg. Only 5% of all lawyers get this distinction.
We are sad to report that Roger Greenberg died suddenly on September 13th, 2013. He will be greatly missed, and his legacy and contributions will always be remembered at the firm.
Roger was licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
