Car Crashes into Home

A wreck around 9am involved two drivers, with one of the vehicles smashing into a home. Three people were brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, and those inside the home were not harmed. Police are not sure exactly how the crash happened, however they heard reports that many often run the stop sign near the home. “People run the stop signs here all the time. I’ve been here for 40 years and had to put up a fence five, six times. But never the house until today,” said the homeowner. The wreck happened around 8:45am. None of the injuries are reportedly life-threatening, according to news reports.

Multi-Car Wreck Closes Route 331

Recently a multi-car accident resulted in the closure of State Route 331 for approximately one hour. A representative for Maryland State Police said the wreck happened when a driver from Easton driving a Ford truck crashed into a van driving in front of her. Five vehicles were also in the process of stopping for a light, and they all collided, including a Chevy Malibu, Hyundai SUV, Mazda truck, and a Toyota 4S. A few of the cars were towed by emergency crews who reported to the scene of the wreck. There were no injuries reported in this series of accidents. The Ford truck driver was charged by police for following the vehicles in front of her too closely, and failing to control the vehicle’s speed, according to news reports.

Webasto Recalls Hazardous Sunroofs

Certain sunroofs built by Webasto are being recalled. The models in question are the Hollandia series 600, 700, and 900 which have been installed on a variety of passenger vehicle models. The products are being recalled due to possible failure of the adhesive bond which holds them in. The falling glass may cause a hazard for the driver or vehicles behind and/or in front of the vehicle. Driver Treated for Critical Injuries After Crash

At the intersection of Route 1 and Maryland Route 152, an auto accident happened when a Chevrolet Equinox driver failed to stop for a red signal. Route 331 Closed After Multi-Car Wreck

Route 331 was closed Thursday morning due to a multiple-vehicle crash, said a representative for Maryland State Police. The crash occurred when a Ford truck driver heading westbound along 331 hit a van in front of her. Deputy Crashes Off Route 5

A deputy was pronounced dear after colliding recently. The officer was on his way to assist with a traffic stop at the time of the wreck. He veered off the roadway after losing control of his vehicle then collided with a tree. The collision happened in Charles City County while the officer was responding to a call involving a traffic stop at approximately 2am on route 5.
