Ford Windstar Recalled
May 10th, 2012Ford is recalling their 1997-2003 Windstar vehicles registered in Puerto Rico due to increased stress caused by high cycles of torsional loading which may result in a fractured axle leading to a car crash. Vehicle owners will be notified and dealers will replace the axles or install a reinforcement bracket free of cost. This service is scheduled to begin in May 2012. The safety recall campaign number is 12S30. Customers may also contact the national highway traffic safety administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236, according to news reports.
As a Washington DC personal injury lawyer, my thoughts are with everybody involved in this recall. I hope nobody is harmed by an unsafe product such as this. If you or someone dear to you was harmed by a recalled product or vehicle, discuss your claim with a personal injury attorney who can evaluate your case and help protect and defend your legal rights. When you have an attorney on your side, you are more likely to get the results you deserve for your case. An attorney can help you with any questions you may have and complete all necessary paperwork and documentation. With a lawyer fighting hard for your rights, you have a higher chance of getting the full compensation you need for your case. I strongly urge customers to check for product recalls and always complete product registrations when available.
