Kensington Man Killed Crossing Road

This morning, a man from Kensington was killed while attempting to cross a roadway, said Montgomery County Police. The 93-year-old was crossing the road when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla around 6:50am. The vehicle was traveling eastbound when the crash suddenly knocked the man into the center of the road. Two other cars also hit the pedestrian. They all stayed at the scene of the wreck after hitting the man. Charges have not been filed as of this afternoon. “It’s still under investigation as to who’s at fault, if anyone, whether speed was a factor or any of those other considerations,” said a police representative. A Maryland State Police helicopter took aerial photographs and the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated the scene of the wreck, according to news reports.

Early Wednesday two teens were arrested when police noticed they had bullet holes on their SUV. Charleston Police said an officer noticed the bullet holes in a Save-A-Lot parking lot around 2:45am. When he looked closer, he noticed three holes in the driver’s side door. Police said the vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run that evening.  The driver told police he was shot at while attempting to purchase drugs. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. According to news reports, he was brought to a jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond. A passenger was arrested for possession of heroin.

Two-Car Crash Causes Md. 65 Closure

Three were brought to Meritus Medical Center after a two-car crash on Md. 65, close to the Antietam National Battlefield. The crash happened when a car pulled into the path of another vehicle driving north along Md. 65. The roadway, also known as Sharpsburg Pike, was shut-down in both directions, and traffic was backed-up following the crash. One of the cars stopped in the southbound lane, while the other car faced north in a drainage ditch on the west shoulder. Both cars had to be towed after sustaining serious front-end damage. The Washington county Sheriff’s Office and fire companies from Maryland and West Virginia arrived at the scene of the collision.

According to news reports, fluids leaked from one of the cars so firefighters used an absorbent to remove the liquids. Large brooms were also used to clean the mess of glass and debris. Ryan Dunn Killed in Auto Accident

Ryan Dunn, star of “Jackass,” was killed in an auto accident early this morning when his car went off the road in Pennsylvania. He was discovered at 3am after the car had caught fire. He was driving his 2007 Porsche in a suburb of Philadelphia when his car left the road and smashed into the woods, exploding into flames. His passenger also succumbed to his injuries in the auto accident.

Just prior to the crash, Dunn posed with his friends drinking for pictures on Twitter. The other passenger has not been identified. West Goshen Township police say speed may have been a factor in the crash. “We are devastated by the tragic loss of Ryan Dunn — a beloved member of the MTV family for more than a decade,” said Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music/Films Group. “The Jackass brotherhood will never be the same.”

According to news reports, Dunn starred in a film that has not yet been released called “Living Will” where he stars as a “party bum slacker (who) returns from the dead as a mischievous and perverted ghost.” As a Germantown auto accident lawyer, my thoughts are with the family of those harmed.
