Driver Admits to Texting While Driving in Fatal Wreck

Micheal Dickson, the man responsible for a disturbing hit and run accident that injured 37 year old Gabriel Sanchez on August 18 in Martin County, Texas on the westbound lanes of I-20, has confessed to texting while driving. Dickson dragged Sanchez 150 feet before stopping and Sanchez was hit by two additional cars before Dickson fled the scene. Police are charging Dickson with failure to stop and render aid.

Motorcyclist and Jeep Crash on Route 144

A motorcycle and Jeep collided on Route 144 Saturday, according to Maryland State Police. Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the wreck. An investigation is currently underway. The victims in the Jeep were treated at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Preliminary investigations are revealing that the Jeep Cherokee failed to yield the right-of-way to the motorcyclist, which hit the driver’s side of the Jeep after skidding. The crash scene remains under careful investigation, according to news reports.

A motorcycle crash in Virginia ended in tragedy when a man from Rhode Island and his wife crashed into a passenger vehicle. The 76-year-old man was pronounced dead in a local hospital, according to state police. His 75-year-old wife was killed at the scene of the wreck, which took place in Waynesboro, Virginia. The investigation of the crash shows that he did not attempt to brake before hitting the rear end of the semi. Thursday night, a woman from Waynesboro was killed in a collision on the Stuarts Draft Highway. The 38-year-old was killed after she lost control of her Ford Explorer and rolled several times. Her car veered to the left of the road and she attempting to correct this, however she ended up overcorrecting and the car flipped. She was the only occupant of the car at the time of the wreck, and she succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the wreck. Driver Killed in Crash with Semi

Driver Charged After I-95 Wreck

A man from Gaithersburg was charged with reckless driving after a wreck along I-95 southbound. The wreck happened when a 29-year-old was driving a Ford van with nine passengers inside.
