Mike Merod was recently awarded the Super Lawyers™ Rising Star award for 2016 -- an award that is given to no more than 2.5% of attorneys!
Mike Merod has spent his entire legal career fighting for the rights of injured victims. At Greenberg & Bederman, LLC, Mike's practice focuses on taking the responsible parties to court whenever an insurance company refuses to offer a reasonable settlement.
Prior to joining Greenberg & Bederman, Mike served a similar role with a large firm in Baltimore City that also represented those injured by the negligence of others. Over his career, he has represented victims with a wide range of medical issues ranging from temporary neck and back problems to complex, and often severely life-altering, disabilities.
Mike is licensed to practice law in Maryland and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ), and the Baltimore City Bar Association.
He received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 2005 and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Baltimore in 2010.
While in law school, Mike was a member of the Stephen L. Snyder Litigation Fellows, a 2nd runner up at the National Tax Law Moot Court competition, and an editor for the Intellectual Property Law Journal. In his first year of law school, he received one of the top awards for oral advocacy during a school-wide competition. Additionally, Mike was a student attorney in the University of Baltimore’s Civil Advocacy Clinic where he defended low income tenants from their landlords in Baltimore City.
Prior to attending law school, Mike was a commissioned salesman where he earned a living by persuading total strangers. Today, he uses these same skills to fight for the injured victims he represents and to convince judges, juries, and insurance companies to fairly compensate his clients.
