We are very excited to announce that Roger E. Greenberg, Andrew E. Bederman and John J. Sellinger were rated as Super Lawyers for 2012, and Jason Fernandez was given the title of Rising Star.
How are lawyers rated as Super Lawyers?
Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase rating process. It is a combination of peer nominations, evaluations and various third party research. There are 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement that each candidate is rated on. Every year these selections are made and it’s no easy task to join the ranks of fellow Super Lawyers.

Some more info on John Sellinger
John Sellinger has handled hundreds of wrongful death and medical malpractice cases. He was the youngest president of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, and a founder of the MTLA Political Action Committee. He drafted litigation which was enacted into law by the Maryland General Assembly. He is a member of the American Association of Justice, and was voted in the 2008, 2009, and 2010 editions of DC and Maryland Superlawyers. Only 5% of lawyers are voted in to this coveted role.
What goes into choosing a Rising Star?
The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers
selection process except that: 1) to be eligible for inclusion in Rising
Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for
ten years or less; 2) Candidates for Rising Stars do not go through step
three above-peer evaluation by practice area. While up to five percent of
the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5
percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
