A piece of glass was discovered in a baby food made in France. The producer Danone were informed of the glass when a customer notified them of a piece of glass in the “compote de fruits” while feeding his 19-month-old grandson. Doctors checked the baby but did not see any signs that anything dangerous had been consumed. The consumer purchased the product from a supermarket in Lunel. The batch of affected products was removed from shelves and the case was referred to its distributors. A complaint with the local gendarmerie was filed.
