Onglyza® & Kombiglyze XR®: 27% Increased Rate of Hospitalization From Heart Failure...
Heart failure is a condition in which the heart does not pump blood as well as it should. Symptoms of heart failure are typically shortness of breath, fatigue, irregular heart rate and the buildup or congestion of fluids throughout the body.
Alarming new studies have found that two popular type-2 diabetes drugs are linked to serious increased risk of congestive heart failure (cardiac failure) and death.
The two popular diabetes drugs under scrutiny are Onglyza® (saxagliptin) and Kombiglyze XR® (saxagliptin and metformin extended-release), which have been in use since 2009.

FDA Advisory Panel Recommends Warning Public of Heart Failure Risks...
Two alarming clinical trials (research studies) showed patients using Onglyza® or Kombiglyze XR® were at a 27% increased risk of hospitalization for congestive heart failure (cardiac failure).
Due to the alarming findings, the FDA convened an advisory committee to discuss if the public should be warned of these risks.
At this meeting, both doctors and biostatisticians agreed that the clinical trials and studies show a concerning link to heart failure and a rise in "all-cause mortality".
The FDA advisory panel unanimously voted to have new warnings applied to Onglyza® or Kombiglyze XR® for their heart failure risks.
One FDA Panel Official Recommended Pulling Drug Off The Market Entirely!
One FDA official even went so far as to recommend that the drugs be pulled off the market entirely, as the risks were just too great to potentially subject patients to congestive heart failure.

The Manufacturers of Onglyza® & Kombiglyze XR® May Have Known About The Increased Risks... Yet Failed To Properly Warn Patients and Their Doctors About The Risks
Lawsuits against AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP® (maker of Onglyza® and Kombiglyze XR®) may allege that they knew of the increased risks of congestive heart failure (cardiac failure) and increased risk of death with their prescription Onglyza® and Kombiglyze XR® diabetes medications, yet failed to properly warn patients and doctors about the risks and negative side effects.
What To Do If You Suffered Heart Failure While Taking Onglyza® or Kombiglyze XR® For Diabetes
The law protects patients from dangerous drugs that can cause serious harm...
If you (or a loved one) used Onglyza® or Kombiglyze XR® for type-2 diabetes and subsequently suffered heart failure (aka. congestive heart failure or cardiac failure), this may be the most important message you will ever read.
Here is why...
The popular diabetes medications Onglyza® and Kombiglyze XR® have been linked to these risks...
- Heart failure
- Congestive heart failure
- Hospitalization due to heart failure (pre-existing or newly diagnosed)
- Death due to heart failure (or congestive heart failure)
When Drug Manufacturers Fail To Properly Warn of Dangers, Innocent Patients Become Victims
As a result of the manufacturer of Onglyza® and Kombiglyze XR® failing to properly warn patients and doctors of these heart failure risks, you or your loved one likely suffered significant health problems, emotional and physical stress, as well as unintended financial burdens -- like doctor or hospital visits, time off work, necessary treatments and/or procedures because of heart failure.
Why should you suffer and be responsible for heart failure caused by a drug manufacturer's mistake?
As a victim of a drug that potentially FAILED to properly warn you of such heart failure risks with their medication, you may be entitled to what are called "money damages", which is a legal term for money awarded from individual lawsuits, settlements and class action lawsuits.
All potential Onglyza® and Kombiglyze XR® lawsuits are currently being investigated on the grounds that AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP® (maker of Onglyza® and Kombiglyze XR®)...
- failed to properly warn patients and doctors of known heart failure and "all-cause mortality" risks
- failed to conduct adequate pre-market clinical trials
- Fraudulently sold and marketed their product despite knowledge of the drug's heart failure risks
